The Chiltern Brewery, founded in 1980 by Richard and Lesley Jenkinson, is a family-run establishment steeped in history and tradition. As the oldest independent brewery in the Chiltern Hills and Buckinghamshire, we pride ourselves on our commitment to crafting natural, wholesome beers. Nestled on an old working farm in the heart of the Chilterns, our brewery emphasizes quality, using only the finest class A malt and hops sourced from local British farmers.
Our brewing process reflects age-old methods, ensuring that each beer is brewed with skill, passion, and integrity. Visitors can expect a warm welcome at our Brewery Tap, a splendid Grade II* Tudor building built in 1455, where we serve all our ales, beers, stouts, and lagers alongside delicious meals made with local ingredients. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, our taproom offers a delightful experience.
